I usually never wait for than 20 minutes for any food...ever. I waiting an hour. It was worth it. Anytime there's fried chicken involved it's worth it. Great vibe, awesome menu. Would love to go back and try other items on menu.

Man, the breading on this chicken was just absolutely amazing. And it was cooked perfectly! My sandwich is smushed down in the pic because I had already taken a bite. But I had to try the whipped potatoes and the pimento Mac and Cheese. I was not let down! Goodness, it was addicting! My body was happy after this meal!

I ordered our meal for takeout and the staff was helpful when I arrived. The food came out shortly afterwards. We had the hot chicken sandwich with pimento mac and cheese and the meatloaf with mashed potatoes and green cabbage slaw. Both meals were amazing with an array of flavors and textures. The portion sizes are realistic. The only downside is the price portion ratio is off compared to what we're used to seeing.

Perfect place to take out of town guests or just to go out with friends. Great atmosphere and excellent food. The pimento mac and cheese is a MUST HAVE!

A Raleigh must if your only visiting for a little. Some of the best friend chicken I've ever had. They serve other good dishes as well. I had catfish here once. It was nice. The Carolina reaper hot chicken is p hot but v worth the challenge for the taste. The taste. It's good taste. Love the taste. How much taste. All the taste. So taste. Have a taste.

Had this place saved to visit when i finally made it out to Raleigh. It didn't disappoint. Nice open restaurant. No menus just a menu board. Sides are a la cart. Prices are pretty reasonable. The chicken fried perfectly crispy. They use dark meat so it's super juicy. I had the classic chicken sandwich which was delicious. Coworker had the carolina reaper spicy chicken sandwich. He said it was really hot but still really delicious. Waitress kept our beverages filled constantly. Great service. Some of the best fried chicken I've had in a while. Would highly recommend.

We stumbled up on this place and we are so glad we did. It is small in size so your whole party must be in attendance to be seated. However the chicken, waffles, and biscuits were amazing. I wish we had room for dessert but maybe next time. I had little kids with me and they polished their plates. I highly recommend. Our waiter was super personable too. All around fantastic experience.

Amazing food and dessert. I had the Classic Chicken Sandwich that comes with shredded lettuce, special sauce, and on a potato bun. Another crowd favorite is the pimento mac 'n cheese. They were both very delicious. Creamy red velvet cake, real banana pudding, and chocolate chess cake we're also had by our group. All 3 were so delicious. Can't wait to go back.

The (what seems like) perpetual line out the door should be significant proof that this place is legit. This is a great choice for a casual bite for even the pickiest of eaters. They have phenomenal sandwiches (hot chicken, classic chicken, veggie), awesome sides (mac, greens, biscuits) and the best banana pudding. My go-to fave is the chicken and waffle with a side of the hot oil that they use on the hot chicken sandwich. That paired with a little drizzle of maple syrup is literally heaven on earth! Casual, affordable and quick (aside from the waiting in line on a busy day).

Went there with the fam over the weekend and arrived before it opened as we were advised there would be a line....and there was! Thankfully, it was worth the wait. The chicken was tender, waffles were not as crispy as I usually like it but my kid loved it. Also, the sides were unique and flavorful as well.

Our go-to whenever we're in the area. Food and staff are great. Mixed drinks are fantastic. Communal seating is a cute concept but I'm not a fan of it. It's just awkward. Eating food off of a metal dish is VERY NOT GREAT...I really, really hate having to cut my food with metal utensils on a metal dish. We need more restaurants of this caliber in the area; the wait here is ridiculous because it's the only very good food spot near the convention center.

We went to Beasley's recently for my friend's birthday. Unfortunately, you can't make reservations and it's a popular place so plan on getting there early to be seated. We got there at 7 and they were able to get us in, which was awesome. The food is delicious! Our server was very attentive and kind. I took 1 star off because everything is a la carte so a meal for two can end up being a little pricey depending on your budget. But overall, we really enjoyed ourselves and would definitely go back!

Wonderful little place. I would describe it as cozy, borderline intimate, with the waitstaff acting as if it's day one of being open. That's not a bad thing either, as they were incredibly friendly and not overly so. Ordered the fried chicken and waffles, and was thoroughly impressed. The pimento mac-n-cheese custard was also great. Did not try the bar, although it appears to be plentifully stocked with a good cocktail menu to go with it. Overall, a good place to grab a bite to eat, whether alone or with friends.

Came from out of town and wanted to find a good local spot, and this place did not disappoint. Not even a little bit. Everything we got was amazing, the restaurant and bathrooms were nice and clean, and service was quick and friendly (thank you Katie!) A must-try when visiting Raleigh.

Love this place! My favorite restaurant in Downtown Raleigh! Food is amazing, and the service is great! They stay busy, so get there early if you're looking to eat! Great bar staff and original drinks.

Chicken and waffles were great. Mac n cheese was tasty. Portions are small but prices aren't too outrageous. $8-15 per entree, sides are $4.50. Beer menu was limited. Cocktails were simple but to the point. Chairs are cute and retro but not that comfortable and very low. I guess they keep you from staying too long. Atmosphere is nice and it connects to the parking deck which is nice. Sunday nights are the best time to go since they are generally more relaxed. Much better than Poole's diner.

Delicious! Friendly servers. Open family style seating with tables and backless stools. The chicken and waffles was so good - enough for two! Definitely revisiting!
